Thanks Michael. I haven't yet written about mind maps. But you can do this: Take a research you'd like to generate a mind map about, go to Notebook LM, upload the doc and ask it to generate a mind map.
Hi again. I generate a mindmap for most of my notebooks. I understand a bit about them. I clicked on the end of a node and discovered it generates a helpful chat.
As a career and personal development coach with 30+ years of cross-industry experience — ranging from digital marketing and leadership development to branding and emotional intelligence — I found this article both insightful and timely. I’m currently working on content strategies for professionals across different career stages (recent grads to CXOs) and startup founders, and the idea of AI-powered content mapping resonates deeply with my efforts to create tailored, high-impact messaging.
I particularly appreciate the focus on building authority by aligning content with core themes and transformation goals. That said, I’m curious to hear your thoughts on a few related areas:
Audience Segmentation: How do you recommend using AI tools to differentiate content strategies for varied audience segments, such as Gen Z job seekers and senior professionals vs. entrepreneurs?
Persona Development: Do you have preferred frameworks or AI prompts that help refine detailed personas beyond the usual demographic and behavioral traits?
Pain Points by Segment: What methods or tools do you suggest for mapping pain points specific to each audience persona in a way that feeds directly into a content map?
I’d love to see a follow-up or deeper dive into how AI can be used not just for content generation, but for dynamic audience analysis and message alignment over time.
Hi Rohit! Apologies for missing the comment. Here's what I think:
1. Audience Segmentation: The first tool I recommend is Deep Research to conduct research on the market someone is mostly operating in. As you'd appreciate, audience in India is very different from that in the US, and are driven by different motivations. So step 1 would be conducting a market research to understand the audience.
2. Persona Development: The best place for persona development according to me is Reddit. It gives a clear idea of the challenges people face and helps in nailing down the persona.
3. Related to point 2. Yes, I do have a whole framework for this. You can find them here:
I'm already thinking it's over my head. I've started embracing ChatGPT and upgraded to the paid account. I'm having difficulty determining how to utilize your prompt because I haven't nailed down who my audience is. Spiritual Growth is my main subject. I write about RV travel, our experiences serving with Roving Volunteers in Christ's Service ministries, and life in the RVICS Village. I'm also a passionate patriot and write about politics as it pertains to Christians making their voices heard and being civically responsible to make a difference in the world. As you can see, I'm a mixed bag. It's leaving me a bit stuck. I write two posts a week and am very active in notes. I'm not sure how to move forward. Thanks for your great post and for showing interest in helping your fellow writers. You are a blessing.
Thank you, Charisse. Apologies I missed your comment. I face the same dilemma as well, probably because we all have multiple interests. I have written a post that might help you in deciding what your calling is. You can find it here:
This is an extremely powerful workflow and focuses on quality not just producing content for contents sake. Me must make our contributions valuable and try to change this world for the better.
This is great! Thank you!
I generated a version with Deep Research in Gemini 2.5, Perplexity, and ChatGPT o3.
Now I'm putting them into NotebookLM and using the mind map feature to explore further!
Cool!! Interesting use of mind maps. Did the prompt produce what you thought?
Your posts and notes are very helpful. I’m searching for mind map info. Hope you have written about it?
Thanks
